Learning / Teaching approach and activities

Our curriculum is heavily influenced by the spiral and theme learning approaches. Our diversified activities create fun and learning motivation for students through fun activities. Utilization of current technology in classrooms keeps students up-to-date with the modern world. Children interact with both native Chinese and English speakers on a daily basis, in which accelerates their ability to interact in a multi-language environment. Our quality instruction, interactive grouping activities, engaging scientific explorations, exciting outdoor visits, aesthetic festival celebrations, and other learning activities ensure our students receive a well-rounded and enriching educational experience

Assessment of children’s learning experiences

Our teachers would prepare for each student a comprehensive portfolio with photo records and text analysis of their early childhood development, covering various categories such as cognitive awareness, self-ability, social ability, creativity, and physical development. A detailed report of their growth is recorded in the portfolios according to the development scale and academic assessment, which illustrates an overall picture of a student’s progress over the year and are presented to parents at the end of each semester in order to comprehensively enhance the development of children in various areas.

Support to students

Our New Students’ Parents Meetings and student adaptation periods will help both parents and students understand and adapt to new school life. Primary school information sessions , simulated primary school interviews, campus tours and simulated adaptation periods prepare our students for their transition to primary school. We also have a students rewards system which encourages children to participate in various extra-curricular activities, as well as large-scale competitions and performances to broaden children's horizons and enhance their self-confidence.

Cooperation between school and parents is of great importance to a child’s development. In order to maintain close contact among teachers and parents, teachers keep contact with parents by making regular phone calls to keep track of the child’s condition.Parent’s day is held bi-annually,during which parents have a one-on-one meeting with their child’s teacher.We also maintain a photo album on our website to share the joyful experience of our students.
