Curriculum planning
Based on the Kindergarten Curriculum Guideline and children’s developmental abilities, the school plans the school-based curriculum step-by-step.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
Our school adopts the teaching methods of theme teaching and project approach, with the aid of picture book teaching, and designs multiple learning activities with the concept of “child- centredness”. Therefore, children can learn from games, and encourage children to actively explore, learn actively, and construct knowledge and life skills. Improve logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The school also attaches great importance to cultivating children’s moral character, provides opportunities for children to get in touch with different personnel, develop positive character from an early age to achieve whole-person development.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
We will use the continuous observation method of children’s learning effectiveness. Teachers will prepare children’s learning assessment reports according to themes, integrate a child’s learning file in each school year, and show children’s developmental performance and growth process at different stages through records in different ways.
